Kelvin Fletcher’s Heartfelt Surprise: Emotional Moment as He Gifts His Dad a £160K Bentley for His 60th Birthday
Kelvin Fletcher left his father in tears on Monday after gifting him a stunning £160,000 Bentley for his 60th birthday.
The former Emmerdale star, 37, shared the touching moment on Instagram, capturing his dad, Warren, completely overwhelmed by the extravagant present.
Alongside the heartwarming photos, Kelvin wrote: “We know how much you’ve always dreamed of this car,” explaining that his dad initially believed the luxury vehicle was just a loan.
In the emotional images, Warren was seen covering his mouth in shock, with tears welling in his eyes as he stood beside the gleaming Bentley. Another photo showed him beaming with joy, proudly posing in front of his dream car.
Kelvin, who posed alongside his brothers Dean and Brayden, expressed how meaningful the moment was for their family. “Happy 60th, Dad. My hero, my friend, and my father. You have the kindest soul, always putting others before yourself,” he wrote.
He added: “You’ve always wanted a Bentley, and seeing your reaction made my heart burst with pride. You deserve it, and we are so lucky to have you.”
The Strictly Come Dancing winner also gave a special shout-out to Baytree Cars for helping make the surprise happen, saying: “The best service I’ve ever experienced. #LifeBeginsAt60 #AsSoonAsThePubsOpen.”
Kelvin later revealed that his dad was in disbelief, initially asking, “How long have I got it for?”
The post quickly gained attention from fans and fellow celebrities, with former Emmerdale co-star Adam Thomas commenting: “That’s what life’s about.”
Kelvin shares a close bond with his father, who was also seen in tears when the actor won Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.
A known car enthusiast, Kelvin has competed in motor racing championships, even going head-to-head with Formula 1 driver Jenson Button.
However, the actor recently faced criticism after a road safety charity called him “selfish” for playfully distracting his wife, Liz, while she was driving. The charity, Brake, warned that “even a moment’s distraction can lead to catastrophe.”
Kelvin and Liz’s love story dates back to childhood—they grew up in the same neighborhood in Royton, Lancashire, and shared their first kiss at just eight years old. Though they officially became a couple years later, their bond remained strong.
In 2015, Kelvin proposed to Liz on a beach in Wales, sealing their love story with a romantic engagement.
