Jade Goody’s mum, Jackiey Buddon, has claimed she is yet to see legal papers from Jeff Brazier or his representatives following his bid to attempt to stop his son seeing his grandmother
Jeff Brazier launched a legal battle against Jade Goody’s mum
Jade Goody’s mum has insisted she is the “closest thing” her two grandsons have to their late mother. Jackiey Budden’s outburst comes amid a bitter feud with the father of her grandchildren. Jade, who rose to fame on Big Brother, died in 2009 from cervical cancer.
Jade’s children with Jeff – Bobby, 21, and Freddy, 20 – were just five and four years old at the time of her death. The children have since been raised by Jeff. He recently opened a legal case to stop Jackiey from being able to see his youngest son, Freddy. In recent months, Freddy has been spending time at Jackiey’s flat in Bermondsey, south east London, often documenting his stays on social media.
In one post on social media, Freddy appeared to be smoking cannabis at his grans flat. Jackiey has also never shied away from her history with drugs. She has previously opened up about smoking crack cocaine. And in 2010, a video emerged of her taking cocaine. Now, Jackiey, who also appeared on Big Brother with Jade and her widower, Jack Tweed, still smokes cannabis and also still drinks alcohol.
In the legal battle, Jeff alleges Freddy’s relationship with his grandmother is “a relationship that has been incredibly detrimental to his wellbeing”. Jackiey denies the claims and says she isn’t willing to go quietly.

Now, Jackiey has opened up further to the Daily Mail. The 68 year old claims she is yet to receive any legal papers from Jeff’s representatives and told the publication: “This is not fair. I’ve tried so hard with Jeff over the years, to keep the peace and to keep the family together and the boys close – I even send him a Christmas present every year, but he doesn’t appreciate it. He probably throws them in the bin.”
She went on to say: “All these years, I’ve been the closest thing to their mum.” Jackiey previously claimed how she saw her house as being “safe” for her grandchild.

A source once close to Jade recently told the Mirror they can see where the boys’ protective dad is coming from. The insider said: “I can see where Jeff is coming from with this legal action. Jeff’s looking out for Freddy’s best interests.
“Freddy needs support from the right people, as he struggles – he lost his mum at 4 years old, so anyone would struggle with that. And maybe Jackiey isn’t the right person to do that if she’s in a vulnerable position herself.”
Freddy opened up on his mental health struggles when he appeared on BBC show Celebrity Race Across The World with his dad.
Jeff had said prior to the show he was looking forward to spending time with his son. Speaking to the Radio Times, he said: “I feel like at some point he’s going to move out and I’ll lose him. So, I guess I’m just trying to squeeze every last bit out of him that I can.”
