TV personalities Kelvin and Liz Fletcher made a special announcement live from their Cheshire farm on morning TV.

Already stars of their own show, they’re now inviting Lorraine’s cameras for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their farm life.

After navigating the school run, Kelvin joined Lorraine Kelly on her show, saying: “I didn’t feel like I was living the dream this morning, when no one would do what they were told, that’s the children, not the animals, the animals are normally the best behaved really.”

Lorraine reflected on Kelvin’s unexpected journey, saying: “It’s amazing how life turns out, there you are, all those years on Emmerdale and you were so brilliant on Strictly but you were going to go to Hollywood.

“You were going to go to Los Angeles, there were a lot of doors opening there, lots of auditions lined up and then of course, COVID hit. So you’ve gone from Hollywood to being a farmer, you couldn’t make it up could you?”

Kelvin replied: “Hollywood to Cheshire, I didn’t quite plan for that, it’s funny how things turn out and with our family now, it’s a life that we never envisaged but it’s a life we can’t imagine not being like that.”

Lorraine then said: “And you’ve got a bit of an announcement for us which we are all very excited about…”

Liz then shared the exciting update on air: “Over the next few weeks and months we’re going to be sharing with you and the viewers a bit of an exclusive insight into our life on the farm. It’s going to be an exciting few months with you guys,” reports Leeds Live.

When speaking about the children’s participation on the farm, Liz said: “The kids are all at different ages so Marnie and Milo are definitely a help, the twins are an absolute liability.”

Kelvin added: “I think the best thing about having the kids for me is their understanding of the responsibility you have with a farm and the privilege it is.

“Understanding where our food comes from the hard work, the ups and downs.”
