A PLACE In The Sun presenter Jasmine Harman has revealed she is recovering at home following surgery.
The TV star told fans she had undergone an operation to treat a hernia.
In a video posted to Instagram on Monday, the 50-year-old said: “Normally on a Monday morning, if I’m not working, I would be doing my Zumba class. Today I’m not doing it.
“Reason being, I’m recovering from surgery, I had to have a small surgical procedure – nothing serious – just a little hernia operation.”
According to the NHS, a hernia is where “part of an internal organ, such as your bowel, pushes through a gap or weak area in the muscle that keeps your organs in place.”
Jasmine continued: “I’ve got a couple of weeks off work, and I know I’ve been a bit quiet on here; that’s the reason why.
“Although it’s a small procedure, any kind of surgery really knocks the wind out of your sails.
“So I will be taking it easy, enjoying the opportunity to slow down a little bit, which doesn’t happen very often, but I just wanted to let you guys know.”
The property expert captioned the upload: “I’m currently recovering from a small surgical procedure.
“Everything went really well, and it’s nothing serious, but I’m under strict instructions to rest… which for me, is easier said than done.
“So for now it’s comfy clothes, early nights and no Zumba!
“Anyone else find it hard to slow down and sit still?”
Jasmine has been a presenter on A Place In The Sun since 2004 and regularly fronts episodes of the long-running Channel 4 property show.
