Lorraine Kelly has showed off the results of her new tattoo live on her ITV show – but it all went horribly wrong
Lorraine Kelly’s show took a different turn on Tuesday morning, as the 65-year-old presenter got her first tattoo – live on air.
The star revealed she had always wanted a tattoo, but wanted it to be meaningful, as she opted for her granddaughter Billie’s name on her arm. Before her show kicked off, Lorraine was given a tattoo by artist Glenn, but fans were left eagerly waiting until the end of the show before she revealed the results.
During the moment of truth, Lorraine pulled off the covering on her upper arm, a purple tattoo with Billie’s name and footprints. However, it wasn’t until Lorraine chatted to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley to discuss what’s coming up on This Morning that they noticed an error. Billie, was actually spelt Billy.
Upon noticing the error, Lorraine stormed off set during the end of her April Fools show, announcing she was “done.”

However, fans quickly noticed not all was as it seems, as the team played an April Fool’s prank on viewers. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter one fan penned: “Terrible April fools joke, Lorraine. you can see it’s been drawn on,” alongside a laughing emoji.
Another said: “Obvs it’s not a real tattoo. It’s fake on April Fools, as a third agreed: “I forgot it was April fools day. I was gonna say, it looks s**t!”
“This april fools is painful,” said a fourth, while another fan who wasn’t letting themselves get fooled said: “Bet that tattoo’s gonna say April fool and just get washed off.”

Back in September, Lorraine shared the joy of becoming a grandparent for the first time after her daughter Rosie gave birth. Taking to Instagram, Lorraine told fans how excited she was.
She wrote: “I have been BURSTING to share this wonderful news with you!
“Baby Billie is an angel and I’m so proud of @rosiekellysmith and @stevewhite94 who will be the best parents. I’m delighted to be Granny Smith and can’t wait to go on adventures. #love #joy #happiness #family.”
Rosie and Steve announced the news in a cute post, as they penned: “Baby Billie Kelly Smith-White is here 29-08-2024. It feels like she’s been here the whole time and we’re not quite sure what the point of anything was before.
“I’d heard how amazing midwives are but they are genuinely walking angels – she’s been welcomed into the world with so much love already.”
