“I can’t go into the details because I’ll just break down,” Alyssa said, clearly holding back tears. “But my son needed a major operation this past weekend… we spent the weekend in the ICU.”
Yet, in the midst of the pain, there’s a silver lining. “The surgery went better than anyone expected,” she said, her voice filled with relief. “The doctors told us he’s doing better than they could have imagined, and he’s hitting every milestone. It’s a miracle. He’ll grow up never knowing what he went through.”
Alyssa shared that her son, who is already showing his playful nature, was back to his happy self within hours of the surgery. “He’s smiling, flirting with the nurses—he’s totally his father’s son,” she said, her voice tinged with a sense of awe and love.
Despite the difficult circumstances, Alyssa returned to work just days after the surgery, demonstrating her strength and dedication as a professional. She admitted that although she’s still adjusting to life as a new mom, Justin Jr. has brought an indescribable magic to her world.
“I feel like I’m a shell of myself right now,” she confessed, “but he’s the best part of me. Everything has changed since he’s been here. He’s the center of my universe.”
Alyssa’s return to The View was a reminder of how resilient and determined she is, and her fans can’t help but feel moved by her emotional journey. We’re wishing baby Justin a swift and full recovery, and our hearts are with Alyssa and her family as they navigate these challenging but hopeful times.
