BABY JOY BOMBSHELL: Kelvin Fletcher’s wife Liz left in tears over ‘best’ pregnancy news as she says ‘so excited’

The Fletcher family will be back on screens this weekend with a new series of Fletcher’s Family Farm.

Liz Fletcher was overcome with emotion after finding out that their beloved dog, Ginger, was expecting a litter of pups. In the new series of Fletcher’s Family Farm, which will hit screens on Sunday, Liz said it was the “best news” after finding out their dog was pregnant.

As the vet approached, Liz held her dog and said, “Here is your patient, not your usual farm animal. But it would be good to know, as we are all guessing, and it would be good to know if it is a yes or no.”

She went on, “There have been a few symptoms or signs, and I think she has been behaving differently.”

When asked what she has been doing, Liz added, “Eating a lot, then off her food, then very clingy, I think she is getting wider. She does seem a bit wider.”

As vet Hugo scanned Ginger’s tummy, he confirmed that the beloved dog was pregnant. “You can see a puppy there,” he said to Liz.

Liz gasped as he went on, “That is a cross-section through a puppy. You can see ribs, legs…”

“Oh my god, I can see it moving,” Liz exclaimed as the vet confirmed there were two separate pups on each side.

Liz added afterwards, “Hugo, I think that is the best news you’ve ever given me.”

“Better than the cows?” he asked, to which Liz replied, “Well, it is a close one, but she is just our baby. Oh my god, you are having pups.”

She added, “Very happy that it is good news.”

The synopsis for the first episode of series four reads, “Liz and Kelvin Fletcher make plans to double the size of their flock and herd, hiring local farmhand Josh to help manage the livestock.

“Meanwhile, Marnie is introduced to her new Jacobs as she makes her own plans for the new farming year ahead, the boys find time away from farming to swap tractors for motorbikes, and the family finally gets the green light to start the farmhouse rebuild.”

Fletcher’s Family Farm returns to ITV on Sunday at 11.30am.
